Introduction
For satisfying the increasing requirement of throughput and indoor coverage, small cell becomes a hot research topic these year. There are a lot of schemes in small cell system, among them, femtocell ("femtocell" is used in IEEE, and “Home Node / Home eNodeB” ("e" is the abbreviation of "enhanced") in 3GPP) is a marked development direction. Hundreds and thousands of proposals, papers have been published so far. In the following, some important resources are listed for the guys touch this field for the first time and desire to know the basic knowledge of femtocell.
eBook is the best tutorial, especially Femtocells: Opportunities and Challenges for Business and Technology written by Simon R. Saunders. In the book, you can find the map of femtocell, each location, such as femtocell market, network architecture, etc., is labelled clearly. If you desire more, standard file is the next destination. Although they seem dull at the first glance, you can get every configuration you want in these technical reports.
White papers in Femto Forum are good reference, but the forum is not the standardization organization.
If you are a student, paper is your target and xxx transaction is your battlefield. The femtocell series in IEEE Communication Magazine, Vol. 47, No. 9 can be your first tutor in the field of theoretical research on femtocell.
Finally, I hope this collection will be useful to you :)

Femtocell standardization is still moving forward, and one meeting is held per month on average. Hundreds of proposals in each meeting and meeting reports (summary of proposals for each meeting) are available (3GPP RAN4 is provided as an example in appendix B) in the website link in the following. (Femtocell standardization is mainly opened in RAN1, RAN3 and RAN4. There are some other specification groups, such as RAN 2, SA1, etc., which are not listed here for simplicity. More details on 3GPP 3G HNB (EXCLUDING HeNB) specification overview is available in Standardization of Femtocells in 3GPP)
